Rebates
Water-use efficiency is a critical part of the District's long-term strategy to ensure adequate water supplies. The District offers a variety rebates to our registered customers. Once approved, the rebate will be a credit on your water bill with some exceptions.
The specific rebate's rules and qualifications are listed on the application. You will need to be registered in WaterSmart to apply.
Commercial Clothes Washer: Apply
Up to $600 per clothes washer when you replace standard clothes washers in your business or multifamily common-area laundry room with high-efficiency models!
Commercial Ice Machine: Apply
Up to $300
Commercial Showerhead: Apply
Up to $50
Commercial Toilet: Apply
Up to $175 per toilet.
Commercial Urinal: Apply
Up to $250 if you replace an existing urinal that uses 1.0 gallons per flush (gpf) or more with an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) WaterSense-approved urinal that also uses 0.125 gpf or less. Up to $300 if you replace an existing urinal that uses 1.0 gpf or more with a waterless urinal.
Drip Irrigation Retrofit: Apply
Up to $20 per every 100 square feet of area converted from spray irrigation to low-volume drip (and/or microspray) irrigation, not to exceed the cost of materials. The maximum drip irrigation retrofit rebate is $1,000 per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) for single-family residential customers; and $10,000 per fiscal year for commercial and multi-family residential customers.
Graywater to Landscape: Apply
Up to $400 per household for clothes washer to landscape systems! Up to $1,000 per household for dual plumbed shower/bath and bathroom sink to landscape systems! The rebate applies to single or two-unit residential buildings only.
Hot Water Recirculation: Apply
$150 for self-activated or on-demand hot-water recirculation systems only. Timer-controlled and thermostat-controlled systems are not rebated.
Pool Covers: Apply
50% of the purchase price, up to $75.
Pressure Reducing Valves: Apply
Up to $50. The rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the pressure reducing valve. Sales tax and labor are not included.
Rain Catchment: Apply
$25 per barrel or $25 per 100 gallons storage capacity. The rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the rain catchment system. Sales tax and labor are not included.
Rain Sensors: Apply
Up to $25 for a rain sensor that can be adjusted to detect 1/8-inch of rainfall.
Rainwater Downspout Redirect: Apply
Up to $40 per downspout when redirected to an on-site landscape feature (e.g., rain garden, swale, dry well, etc.) for a maximum of two downspouts.
Residential Clothes Washer: Apply
Up to $100
Residential Showerhead: Apply
Up to $25 when you replace an existing showerhead with a 1.5 gallon per minute showerhead that is Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) WaterSense-approved.
Residential Toilets: Apply
Our residential toilet rebate pays for up to $100 when you replace a toilet that flushes at 1.6 GPF or greater with a model which has a flush volume of 1.0 GPF or lower.
Submeter: Apply
Up to $150 per installed submeter for residential dwellings or commercial property units currently served by a single meter. Up to $150 per installed submeter to separate indoor service from outdoor service
Turf Replacement: Apply
Up to $2 per square foot of turf replaced with low-water-use plants (artificial turf does not qualify). The maximum turf replacement rebates from Soquel Creek Water District are $2,000 per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) for single-family residential customers and $10,000 per fiscal year for commercial and multi-family residential customers.
Weather-based Irrigation Controllers: Apply
Sensor-type irrigation controllers - $75 or Signal-type irrigation controllers - $125
