Changes to your water rates - September 2018

In response to a court decision in Jon S. Cole v. Soquel Creek Water District, the District will no longer be charging Tier 2 water rates effective July 1, 2018.  All water previously used under Tier 2 will be charged at the Tier 1 rate.  Tier 3 and Tier 4 rates remain in effect.  The new Tier 1 limit for single-family residential customers will be 7.99 units, and the new Tier 1 limit for multi-family residential customers will be 5.99 units.  The uniform rate for commercial and irrigation customers has decreased to $9.77 per unit.

Effective September 11, 2018, the rate on 2” fire services will change from $18.93 to $14.00

The changes will be applied to bills beginning in September.  Customers who have been charged Tier 2 rates or private fire service charges in July and August will receive a refund of those charges.
