Water Service Update (Near Bates Creek)

March 14, 2023 Update

For those who have received a Boil Order notice, it has now been cancelled. The District in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board has determined that, through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water, your water is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary to boil your tap water or for you to consume bottled water.

March 10, 2023

Due to the heavy rain early Friday morning (3/10/23) the Bates Creek culvert on North Main St. was blocked by debris and washed out the road and water main.  The County of Santa Cruz is currently working to clear debris.

All Soquel Creek Water District customers north of Bates Creek were out of water (around 40+ houses) earlier this morning and crews have been working hard to restore water service throughout the day.

Customers in the vicinity of North Main Street, Cherryvale, Glen Haven, and neighboring side streets have been identified and there  is a boil water notice in effect for this area.

Soquel Creek Water District staff is working on restoring water to all impacted customers by the end of today.  Thank you for your patience.
