Water Waste Prohibition Ordinance 10-03 – Notice of Adoption

Soquel Creek Water District’s Board of Directors approved the Water Waste Prohibition Ordinance at the public meeting on December 7, 2010.  The Ordinance became effective December 8, 2010.

The Ordinance prohibits general and specific wasteful uses of potable water within the Soquel Creek Water District.  The Ordinance replaces existing Resolution No. 06-08 that was adopted by the Board on May 2, 2006.  Changes were needed to better help protect the District’s water supply and to avoid or minimize the effects of groundwater overdraft, seawater intrusion, and drought.
