Soquel Creek Water District Certifies the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Well Master Plan Project and Approves Partial Project

On February 22, 2011, the Soquel Creek Water District (SqCWD) Board of Directors unanimously voted to approve Resolution Number 11-07 certifying the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Well Master Plan (WMP) Project. The Responses to Comments Document published on February 9, 2011, in combination with the Draft EIR published on September 1, 2010, constitute the Final EIR for the WMP project.

The SqCWD Board of Directors also voted to approve Resolution Number 11-08, approving partial components of the WMP Project. The approved Project components include the conversion of an existing irrigation well to a municipal production well at the Polo Grounds Regional Park in Aptos, and the installation of two new municipal production wells at Cunnison Lane and Soquel Drive in Soquel, and at Granite Way and Aptos Village Drive in Aptos.
