Rainwater Catchment Workshops Helping County Residents Seize the Storms

When rain falls onto roofs, thousands of gallons of water surge through downspouts, down streets and storm drains, and into the ocean. Then, during the summer and fall, people pay thousands of dollars to buy gallon after gallon of water to irrigate their lawns and landscapes.

Some innovative Santa Cruz residents are harvesting that rainwater and making it pay in more ways than one.
