Water and art do mix with the Art of Water Conservation school education program for fourth grade classes and Drawing California Water for fourth grade classes. The Soquel Creek Water District in partnership with the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County’s SPECTRA Art program bring schools in the District service area a series of free water and art presentations.

The six class program combines science and social studies curriculum with the creative process, making learning about water interactive and fun.

Taught jointly by District staff and a SPECTRA artist, the program satisfies the California Public Schools Science and Arts Content Standards for 4th grade and teaches organizational, analytical, interpretive, written, and artistic skills.

The Art of Water Conservation is free-of-charge to schools in the District’s service area. To schedule a class contact  Vai Campbell at 475-8500.
